ECBC Cheat Sheet
D.O.N.T. (Disturb Opponents No-Trump)

1. Aim is not to find game, but to find a fit at the lowest level to “disturb”
2. Only use over a strong 1NT opening by opponents (15-18HCP)
3. By overcalling the 1NT opening you promise 7-15 HCP
4. Calls:	X	6+ card suit held
	2♣	“Clubs and Higher” (5 and 4+ either way)
	2♦	“Diamonds and Higher” (5 and 4+ either way)
	2♥	“Hearts and Spades” (5 and 4+ either way)
	2♠	6+ Spades (weaker than using a “X”
	2NT	5+♣ and 5+♦ (Unusual 2NT)
5.Reply to	X	[1]	If you have a DECENT 6+ card suit bid it
		[2]	Bid “2♣” for “Pass or correct”
	2♣/2♦	[1]	If weak Bid “2♦/2♥” to ask for partner’s “other” suit
		[2]	Bid 2NT if you think game might be on if fit found- Overcaller will then bid his other suit at 3 level

Reply to	2♥	[1]	If weak (< 10 HCP) choose the major you like best
**		[2]	With 3+♥ and 3+♠ bid and 10+TP bid “2NT Ask”
	2♠	[1]	Weak: Bid 3♠/4♠ with good fit (“Law of Total Tricks”)
		[2]	Bid “2NT” asking partner to bid “4♠” if 12-15TP else to rebid 3♠
6. After “2NT” ask:		[1]	With 5-4 in majors, rebid the 5 card Major
(see “**” above)		[2]	With 5-5 in majors, bid “3♣” (=“You choose”)
		[3]	With good hand and good fit bid 4♥/4♠
7. Over “X” by responder			“XX” – Asks for partner’s second suit
			“Pass”– You WANT to play in partner’s suit (“Pass to play, Double to Rescue”)
8. Over responder suit call			“X” – Asks for partner’s second suit
			“Pass”– You WANT to play in partner’s suit (“Pass to play, Double to Rescue”)
